LAKEWOOD RANCH — From the view of Drs. Brad and Ashley Masuga, the time could not be more ripe for opening a new business — especially on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.The couple signed a lease Jan. 13 for a space next to MacAllisters Grill & Tavern and Raymond James, making the plaza more than 98% leased.

Another business has issued a letter of intent and is expected to sign a lease for the final tenant space on Main Street this week.

“This is the first time ever since the center was a pipe dream,” Julia DeCastro, director of leasing and sales for Lakewood Ranch Commercial Realty, said of having the shopping center 100% leased for the first time.

Lakewood Ranch Main Street reaches 100 percent occupancy

LAKEWOOD RANCH — When an eye care center opens in mid-May, Lakewood Ranch Main Street will achieve 100 percent occupancy for the first time.

InFocus Family Eyecare, a full service eye center offering comprehensive exams and eyewear, will fill the last empty space at 8120 Main St., Suite 101, once occupied by America’s Best Martial Arts.

Optometrist Brad Masuga said he was drawn to Main Street for its location and abundance of tenants.

“It’s just a great little location that’s happening and hip, the place to be,” he said.

Masuga, 34, has been an optometrist at a Lenscrafters in Sarasota for six years. Originally from Michigan, he earned his doctorate of optometry from Ferris State…
