Our Team

Dr. Brad Masuga is originally from Marquette, Michigan. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2003 and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007. Dr. Masuga went on to complete a residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where he specialized in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Masuga began practicing in Sarasota from 2008-2013 and opened InFocus Family Eyecare in May 2014. He provides comprehensive eye care and offers the latest in eyewear, frames and contact lenses including in toric and multifocal designs. Along with providing annual eye exams, Dr. Masuga specializes in the treatment of eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including children and young adults.

Professionally, Dr. Masuga is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. He is committed to providing quality eye care to individuals and their families!

Dr. Ashley Masuga was born in raised in Chesterfield, Michigan.  Dr. Masuga completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University in 2003 and obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007.  Dr. Ashley Masuga went on to complete a residency at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, in Miami, Florida, and obtained her Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2009.

Dr. Ashley practices full-scope optometry including vision testing and prescriptions for eye wear and contact lenses. Dr. Ashley also specializes in the treatment of eye diseases including dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.  

Professionally, Dr. Ashley stays active in the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. She is committed to providing quality and compassionate care to all of her patients.

Cara is originally from a small town in Minnesota, and moved to Tucson, AZ as a teenager with her family. She began her optical career in 2002 where she worked as a sales consultant, medical technician, and eventually an assistant manager. Shortly after her first daughter was born, Cara decided to leave the work force to become a stay-at-home mother for the next 8 years. She and her family moved back to Minnesota where she had two more children!

In 2014, Cara re-entered the workforce as an optician in Minnesota. In 2019, her family moved to Bradenton, Florida. She completed the ABO/NCLE certifications in 2020. She reached her goal of becoming a Florida Licensed Dispensing Optician in May 2022, and with continuing education is now a Board-Certified Optician.

Cara is passionate about the optical field and truly loves helping her clients see the very best! She enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially children. Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors with her children. She loves kayaking, being on the water, and trying new things!

Elaine is originally from Durban, South Africa.  She moved to Alpharetta, Georgia as a teenager where she began her career in optical.   Having worn glasses since she was 14, Elaine has a special passion for eyewear and finding the perfect frame for her customers! With almost 20 years of experience, Elaine has built a reputation for expertise in frame selection and lens consultation with her clients.  She enjoys keeping the optical fresh and full of unique and eccentric eyewear!   With almost 20 years of experience, Elaine has become an elite in her field. 

Elaine moved to Florida in February 2023 after getting married to her husband, Kyle.  Professionally, Elaine received her ABO certification and working as an apprentice optician.  She will complete her certifications in 2026!

In her spare time, Elaine enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 stepsons, and her baby yorkie, Mila. You will often find her and her husband on the beach, doing cross fit, and traveling to new exciting places!  

Caitlin was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  She moved to Florida with her family in 2017 and graduated from high school in 2020.  Caitlin has two sisters and one cat who she adores! Caitlin started her career in customer service and joined the eyecare field in 2023.  

Caitlin works as a medical technician and assists the doctor in patient pre-testing and imaging.  Caitlin is our contact lens specialist and ensures orders are received on time and patients are notified.  If you are new to wearing contact lenses, Caitlin is our lead insertion and removal technician!  She will show you all her tips and tricks!   Caitlin brings positive energy and enthusiasm to her job every day!  She shares her laughter and joy with all of her patients and her team members!   

When Caitlin isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her friends. She also enjoys staying fit at the gym and is always up for experiencing new things! 

Originally from Staten Island, New York, Gianna moved to Florida with her family at the age of four. She began working at just 15 years old and has always been known for her strong work ethic, motivation, and drive to succeed. Her background in customer service has allowed her to develop excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.

As our Patient Care Coordinator, Gianna plays an essential role in creating a positive experience for every patient. She assists with scheduling appointments, answering insurance and clinical questions, performing pre-testing, and gathering important clinical information before patients meet with the doctor. Her eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and commitment to exceptional patient care make her a valued member of our team. In 2026, Gianna earned her Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) certification, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and excellence in patient care. She looks forward to continuing her education and pursuing additional certifications to further expand her knowledge and expertise in eye care.

Outside of the office, Gianna enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, caring for her animals, and taking in Florida's beautiful sunsets. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she treasures every opportunity to create lasting memories with her loved ones. She shares a particularly close bond with her older sister, who has always been her best friend. A devoted animal lover, Gianna also enjoys spending time with her furry and scaly companions, including her dog, cat, bunny, and leopard gecko.
 

Amanda is originally from Yonkers, New York. After completing her degree in medical laboratory, she moved to New Hampshire and started her career in optometry.  Amanda became a certified paraoptometric (CPO) in 2012. 

In 2017, Amanda and her husband, Michael, decided to move to a warmer climate in Lakewood Ranch, Florida and begin their lives together.  She started her career at InFocus Family Eyecare as a paraoptometric and later acquired her certification for coding, becoming a certified paraoptometric coder, CPOC, in 2021.  Amanda works behind the scenes in our insurance and billing department.  Her years of experience in eye care and natural ability to work with numbers have allowed her to excel in her role!

Meet Andy, a Sarasota native with a strong passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. With over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, Andy decided to pivot into the optical field in 2024, motivated by a desire to help people in a more direct and fulfilling way. Since making the switch, he has developed a genuine love for the opticianry profession, finding great satisfaction in helping his clients choose the perfect eyewear. In addition to his work with patients, Andy is also the driving force behind the marketing and advertising strategies that bring the business to life.

Andy and his family live in Lakewood Ranch, a vibrant community they’ve grown to deeply appreciate for its sense of connection and friendly atmosphere. Outside of work, Andy enjoys a wide range of activities, including exploring his passion for cars, music, art, and fitness, all while proudly showcasing his tattoos. He is happily married to the love of his life, and together they share a beloved puppy who, despite Andy’s best efforts, is probably a bit spoiled.

With an unwavering commitment to success and a heart dedicated to serving others, Andy is always ready for the next opportunity—whether that’s finding new ways to make a positive impact in his community or embracing the endless possibilities life has to offer. As Andy likes to say, "Saving eyes is saving lives!"

Born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Heather joined the InFocus Family Eyecare team in 2026. With more than 20 years of experience in the eye care industry, she has developed extensive knowledge in both clinical and administrative roles. Heather is known for her dedication and warm smile, helping every patient feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.

As our Front Office Coordinator, Heather is committed to creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience for every patient while supporting the daily operations of the practice. In 2026, she earned her Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) certification, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence.  She looks forward to continuing her education and expanding her knowledge to provide the highest level of patient care.

Outside of the office, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, kayaking, reading, and staying active at the gym.

Ashley was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida and  joined the InFocus Family Eyecare team in 2026. With more than five years of experience in the medical field, she brings confidence, enthusiasm, and compassion to every patient interaction. Her friendly personality and commitment to providing exceptional care help patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.

As an Optometric Technician, Ashley performs patient pre-testing, diagnostic imaging, and contact lens training. Her strong aptitude, positive attitude, and dedication to learning allow her to cross-train in multiple areas of the practice. Ashley is excited to continue growing professionally and building a rewarding career in the eye care field.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys fitness and loves spending time with her rescue dog, who she adores!.
